This is my take on a siren, I tried to make a more modern siren. Well what I thought a more modern siren would look like. I wanted it to look like a young girly girl, so I added rainbow hair, makeup and fake nails on. To try and make it look like what a lot of people would want to see a girl look like these days. I did a rainbow look for the hair and a pail pink glow for the skin. you can remove the lashes as they are meant to be fake lashes. I also added a flower to make her look more sweet and trust worthy. The reason I did this was because sirens where meant to lead men to there deaths at open sea, so I wanted it to look like you could trust her.

The equipment and colour used where:

  • A makeup brush

  • size 1 paint brush

  • black pen

  • fake hair

  • matt spray paint

  • pail skin spray paint

  • tack glue

  • fake lashes

  • paper roses

  • pink, brown, red, white and black cork

  • white and red paint

  • gloss spray paint

  • tinsel

  • PVA glue

  • holographic glitter

  • A re-rooter

  • A small band

  • scissors

I love the way my doll turned out but I don't think I would make it again as it tuck 4 weeks to make. And my re-rooting tool kept braking. It cost me over £100 to make both dolls.

Sun Goddess Doll

This is my sun goddess, I tried to make a more realistic looking doll but instead it looks creepy and cartoon like. I wanted it to look like a young strong female, so I added war paint to her body and volcano on top of her head. I wanted her to look like a goddess of war because the sun and earth to me look like to warriors about to fight. I added gold chain to try and bring out the skin tone more which I think it did.

The equipment and colour used where:

  • A makeup brush

  • size 1 paint brush

  • black and gold pen

  • matt spray paint

  • brown skin spray paint

  • tack glue

  • chains

  • hot glue

  • pink, brown, red, white, yellow, orange and black cork

  • white and gold paint

  • gloss spray paint

  • pliers

  • scissors

I do not like the way this doll turned out and I will not be make it again as it tuck 4 weeks to make. And my re-rooting tool kept braking. It cost me over £100 to make both dolls. Also because the white paint will not stick to the brown skin spray paint.
