Dante painted hes work bast on a demon he has clam to of seen and he says the thing draged him to help. He describes his demon as "middle height, walked somewhat bent over, with a grave and gentle grin. His face was long, his nose aquiline, and his eyes big rather than small. His jaws were large, and his lower lip protruded. He had a brown complexion, his hair and beard were black, and curly.
Some people thing his painting of the seven rings of hell is what he seen when he saw in hell. But a lot of people have a theory that his paintings are secret doors to hell.
He uses thick oil paints to make his work and some of his meany paintings tuck days even years to paint. he passed away 200 years ago but even today people are still wondering is this hell are just the hell he made for himself, was he cursed to always see what the future of his death might hold.
Dante inspired me to paint with oil paints which I no longer do as it takes weeks for it to dry and even then it is never fully dry. His work gives you a feeling of hate, hopelessness and fear, which is why some people fear and hate his work.
He uses a lot of blacks and red when painting are drawing his work. Which I think it to show you how hot and dark it would be if you went to the deepest parts of hell or what he thought hell was.
