Dimitra Milan is a 16 year old painter who loves to paint nurture and female together. She uses acrylic and water colour paints also she uses bleach to add writing and so on in the background thats how she makes these beautiful paintings. She would rather us a palette knife instead of brushes as they give of a more smooth wave of colour, she only really uses paint brushes when doing things in water colour paint. She has a messy approach to life which shows up in her paintings. You can tell this by the way she adds the paint to the page ( it is messy and lacks control). She loves to paint animals with people, it very unlikely to see her paint an animal/human by its self. This is because she likes the way they look together, as they complement each other nicely.
Dimitra favorited colours to use are blue, pink and any pastel colours. Her work is very life like, like being in a fairy tail or dream. Which this could be her take on a dream she may have had.
I love her work and think she is so talented. I chose to put her as one of my choosing artist because I fell in love with the way she paints. It messy but when looking at it all I thought about was hope and being a kid again running around with my little brother trying to catch butterfly's and ladybugs in glass jars.
Dimitra uses bright and playful colours to catch your eye and make you think about the sweet colours of the earth which me miss when we are walking about or even taking a photo. She shows us how kids and teens see own world and how beautiful it really is.
If I was going to do a painting like this I would paint it dark and cold as that is how I see the world I live in, but on the other hand I could paint it sweet and bright as i seem to find the kindness and beauty in everything even death.
