The Bell Witch or Bell Witch Haunting is a legend from Southern United States folklore. Sr John Ball and his family lived in a home next to red river, which was close to the town of Adams. According to legend, from 1817-1821, his family and the local area came under attack by a mostly invisible entity that was able to speak. The first ever report was made in 1817 and after that the reports stared to roll in. Some people claimed it was a ghost of a witch who is out for revenge after being killed. The reason people thought it was the spirit of a witch was because people said it moved with a superhuman speed which was impossible for a normal human to reach when running. Also some people claimed that it was not running fast but instead was in more then one place at a time. The witch’s name was kneeing as Betsy bell the queen of the haunted dell, she had a beautiful face with light fair skin, coved by this soft black hair. She looked young and old all at the same time like someone who has seen people dead and people live all at once’s. She looked scared of the world and those in it.
